Guide to Purchasing the Perfect Residential Entry Doors: As we all know, first impressions always count, even when it comes to homes. There is a big difference between architectural doors and metal entry doors or steel entry doors. There is nothing wrong with the last two types of doors except for the fact that steel does not bring that warmth into a home. If you ever want to make a good impression, have the feeling that your house is a home or impress your guests and neighbors with your excellent taste, choose your residential entry door from a wooden door collection. Nothing says “Welcome” better than a great wooden door.
Last but not the least is the price factor. Work on your budget well and keep in mind interior doors shouldn't be too expensive.
Strong Warranty: Unlike wood doors, most fiberglass doors come with a warranty. This warranty is usually for a lifetime, and covers the owner against factory defects. It does not, however, provide any guarantees against damage caused by the owner. Nothing like wood doors, fiberglass won't dent, crack, split or splinter. Unlike steel doors, fiberglass won't dent, rust or warp, either. Fiberglass also resists shrinking and swelling with temperature changes, allowing the finish to last three times longer than on a wood door. The solid polyurethane foam core offers five times greater insulation value than wood doors.
Disadvantages: The UPVC doors are having the biggest drawback of limited or no colour choices. You only have to choose the colourless material for your door or the bright white colour that becomes yellowish after some time.
Of course there are situations when you may want to go for a uPVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride) door. uPVC is a low maintenance and lightweight material for doors that's extremely popular nowadays. uPVC doors come in a wide range of styles. For example, UPVC French doors are especially attractive. A uPVC door is much more economical than a wooden one and also needs no sealing or painting.
