Dear friends of Regional Rail: The next meeting of the Regional Rail Working Group will be: Wednesday, February 23, 2011 6-8pm Location: Hoboken Parking Utility Conference Room, Ground Floor City Hall, 98 Washington Street, Hoboken New Jersey Two blocks west of the Hoboken Terminal PATH Station Once again the discussion will focus on options for new Hudson River passenger rail tunnels, including Amtrak's recently announced "Gateway" plan, the Moynihan/Penn Station First plan, the Hoboken Alternative and Mayor Bloomberg's plan to extend NYC's #7 subway to Secaucus. Time permitting other RRWG initiatives will be discussed. The Regional Rail Working Group is an informal collaboration of transit advocacy organizations that meet monthly to advance plans for transforming the commuter rail lines that serve the NY-NJ-CT metropolitan area into a truly regional rail system, with frequent service, integrated fares and through operation.
