Agenda for February 9, 2004 meeting:
1. Reactivation of the LIRR Rockaway Beach Cutoff at Whitepot Junction for combined Airport and regular passenger service from JFK Airport, Ozone Park, Woodhaven, Richmond Hill, Forest Hills and the Rockaways to Midtown, Manhattan.
2. LIRR Super-Subway from JFK Airport to Lower Manhattan via the unused LIRR Rockaway Beach R.O.W. Atlantic Branch connection for combined Airport and regular passenger service.
3. Streamlining LIRR access to Grand Central.
4. Discussion and handouts on the Penn Station Metro-Hub Plan.
5. Brief update on a physical track connection between the recently restored downtown PATH system and the Lexington Avenue #6 local subway line along with other transit related proposals.
6. Progress report on Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the bi-state New York and New Jersey “Access to the Region's Core” project as well as the #7 Flushing Line extension to the Javits Center.
7. Getting more value out of public investment on the Northeast Corridor: more ridership through lower fares and increased service.
