- detailing an advocacy plan to gain additional support for opposing NJ Transit's "go it alone" plan to construct an
isolated 'deep cavern" terminal station some 175 feet under 34th Street ...

makes little sense to spend an extra $3billion to make it harder to

Coming in November
VOTE MASS TRANSIT
Long Island in the 21st Century
the issues
- WHY was transit service growing more rapidly on Long Island in the first half of the 20th Century then today?
- CAN 5 million people be evacuated from the 4 Long Island counties in an emergency without far greater mass transit capacity?
- IS IT WISE to ignore the benefits of using rail service to restock the large shopping mall concentrations that have become ubiquitous Long Island features, thereby taking thousands of fossil fuel burning vehicles off our roads?
- WHEN will government discover we need more north-south service for a rail system almost exclusively oriented to east-west travel; WHY NOT crosstown rail from Ocean to Sound all along the length of the peninsula?
- HAS Brooklyn and Queens been short changed by being part of New York City?
- WOULD the population of Western Long Island be better served looking east to build a more robust and homogeneous future society?
